Serpentine North Galler
This is a shot I took at Serpentine North Gallery for an exhibition that was on display inside. I was very impressed and inspired by one of them, and we went on this little trip to see how the artists here connect and interact with the audience with their finished projects. In a small room there was a microphone and a bible-like image on the wall directly opposite the microphone, with a human voice chanting on the stereo, and the singing was very sacred. The interactive feel of the installation was that the audience would make a sound in front of the microphone, which would eventually be processed into an echo-like sound that would travel back to their ears. This kind of interaction gives me a very magical feeling, so I plan to make my illustrations into hangings that can be hung on horse-faced dresses, and then spray them with perfume, transforming my tastes from abstract concepts into scents that the audience can smell.
