It’s a mind map. I began by deriving two concepts based on taste, one for food flavors and the other for hobbies. So included in my mind map are my favorite foods, which taste sweet, crunchy, and aroma, which are the parts in yellow font. The blue font is the more abstract  preference. My favorite dishes, music, painters, like traveling, watching movies, reading children’s books. In the end, I chose among these tastes like watching Disney  movies and reading fairy tale books for example Cinderella from Grimm’s Fairy Tales.

My idea was to combine Chinese and Western cultures in an illustration for this project, so I looked for both Chinese and Western artists, and even Sainker's work incorporates elements from both East and West.

Because I love Edgard Degas, I also put his work in my artist research.
